Biocard™ Mycoplasma pneumoniae IgM test is a rapid immunochromatographic test that detects anti-M. pneumoniae IgM antibodies. If the sample contains these antibodies, they will bind to labelled antigen and with the stationary reagent in the test line. The test also contains an internal control system. Appearance of a red control line indicates proper functioning of the test. The test requires one drop (10μl) of blood or 5 μl of serum and it can be performed and evaluated in 10 minutes. A positive test result with this test is an aid for diagnosis of acute M.pneumoniae infection.
