Invitrogen™ RECA-1 Monoclonal Antibody (HIS52), eBioscience™

Description
Description: The HIS52 monoclonal antibody reacts with a molecule expressed on the surface of all rat endothelial cells, also known as Rat Endothelium Cell Antigen-1 (RECA-1). The exact nature of HIS52 antigen is, however, not known. HIS52 does not cross react with various species tested other than rat. This antibody is a very useful tool as a specific phenotypic marker for rat endothelium. Applications Reported: The HIS52 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis, and immunohistochemical staining of frozen tissue sections. No reactivity of the antibody was seen when applied in immunoblotting of PAGE-run lysates from endothelial cell cultures and stromal cell preparations. Applications Tested: The HIS52 antibody has been tested by immunohistochemistry of rat frozen sections and can be used at 1-10 μg/mL. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE. Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered.
