Storage Requirements Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. 12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70° C as supplied. 3 months, 2 to 8° C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Structural Form This recombinant protein is prone to proteolytic degradation at the C-terminus, resulting in proteins with molecular masses of 22.2 - 22.8 kDa.

Activity Measured in a cell proliferation assay using TF-1 human erythroleukemic cells. Kitamura, T. et al. (1989) J. Cell Physiol. 140:323. The ED50 for this effect is 0.03-0.18 μg/mL. The proliferative effect can be enhanced up to 100-fold by the addition of Recombinant Human CNTF R alpha (Catalog # 303-CR ) .
