Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of FaDu human squamous cell carcinoma cells. When 5 x 104 cells per well are added to rmCHI3-L1 coated plate, cell adhesion is enhanced in a dose dependent manner after 30 minutes at 37 °C. The ED50 for this effect is 0.8-3.2 μg/mL.

Optimal concentrations should be determined by each laboratory for each application.
