RG-13022 is a non-phenolic tyrphostin analog, which inhibits the EGF receptor (IC50=5 µM) and PDGF receptor tyrosine kinases, and is long-acting. It inhibits EGF-stimulated HER14 cell proliferation (IC50=1 µM) as well as tumor growth in vivo. It inhibits both EGF- and PDGF-stimulated DNA synthesis in human glioma cell lines. RG-13022 is non-phenolic and therefore possesses less antioxidant activity than other tyrphostins. Alternative name: 3,4-Dimethoxy-alpha-(3-pyridyl)-(Z)-cinnamonitrile. Purity: ≥98% (TLC). Solubility: Soluble at 25mg/ml in DMSO or 100% ethanol. Long Term Storage: Ambient.
