Description
Blood samples are drawn into the SAFE-T-FILL™ Plastic Micro Capillary Blood Collection Tubes through capillary action, reducing hemolysis, tissue contamination, and re-draws. No "scooping" or "milking" required. Coated with a clotting activator for serum determinations in chemistry.
- 100% plastic tubes collect microliter volume capillary blood samples from finger and heel sticks
- Blood samples are drawn into the microtube through capillary action, reducing hemolysis, tissue contamination, and re-draws. No "scooping" or "milking" required
- Capillary straw and microtube are coated with anticoagulant Lithium Heparin (Green cap) to prevent clotting
- Attached cap is color-coded to designate the type of additive that is in both the capillary tube and the microtube
- Lot Number, Expiration Date, and fill lines are printed directly on the microtube
- A complete end-to-end fill of the capillary tube accurately measures the stated fill volume
- For plasma determinations in chemistry
- Optional gel separator serves as a barrier between blood and serum after centrifugation
- Available in a variety of sizes and draw volumes, with or without gel separator
- Optional amber microtube ensures light-sensitive sample integrity providing protection for testing (ex. Bilirubin)
