Spring Scale Centripetal Force Apparatus provides an excellent visual and physical demonstration for the entire class to see.

The Spring Scale Centripetal Force Apparatus is a simple device that allows students to investigate the relationship in circular motion between the radius, the velocity of the moving object, and the external force required to maintain the motion. When students hold the white handle and carefully spin the rubber stopper overhead, it places tension on the string. The tension created is centripetal force on the string that pulls on the spring scale. The faster the student spins the mass, more force is exerted on the spring. The spring scale has a numbered scale, so students can directly see a numerical indication of the centripetal force.
