Spectrum™ Chemical Stannous Chloride, Dihydrate, Crystal, Reagent, ACS is also known as Tin Chloride, has a white solid crystal like aspect. Mostly used in electrolytic baths destined for tin-plating, it is also widely used as a reducing agent. In the textile industry it is employed as a mordant to increase the brightness of certain colors in the fabric. It is also employed by metal enthusiasts to determine platinum and gold group metals. As an ACS grade Reagent, Spectrum Chemical manufactured compound is used as the quality standard against which other substances are grade and has met the toughest regulatory standards for quality and pureness.
