Directed differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells into multipotent neural progenitor cells.

Pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) are functionally defined by their capacity for self-renewal and their ability to differentiate into cells from all three germ layers. Mouse PSCs are characterized by their marker expression, including positive markers Oct-3/4, SSEA-1, Alkaline Phosphatase, and negative marker, SSEA-4. Optimal expansion and maintenance of mouse PSCs in culture is facilitated by using specialized stem cell base media supplemented with mouse leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF).

Benefits:

  • Yields highly homogenous NPC population
  • Kit-derived NPCs can be differentiated into astrocytes, oligodendrocytes, and multiple neuron subtypes
  • Storage: Store the unopened product at -20° to -70°C. Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Do not use past expiration date.

    Alternate Names: Pluripotent Stem Cells
