Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

MA3-936 detects Synaptojanin 1 from rat and human samples. MA3-936 has been successfully used in Western blotting, IHC (frozen), IP and ICC/IF procedures. By Western blot MA3-936 detects a band at 170 kDa representing Synaptojanin 1. The MA3-936 immunogen is proline rich domain of a fusion protein comprising aa 1156-1286 of rat synaptojanin 1.

Synaptojanin 1 is a phosphoinositide phosphatase that regulates levels of membrane phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate. As such, expression of this enzyme may affect synaptic transmission and membrane trafficking.
