Description

Gene 6 protein of bacteriophage T7 is a dsDNA 5' to 3' exonuclease which also exhibits flap endonuclease activity.

  • T7 Exonuclease also degrades RNA and DNA from RNA:DNA hybrids in the 5'→3' direction, however it is unable to degrade either double-stranded or single-stranded RNA.
