Quantify kinase or phosphatase activity by direct measurement of the phosphorylation state of a fluorophore-labeled peptide substrate. Phosphorylation is measured by the change in fluorescence intensity that occurs when a proprietary iron-containing compound binds specifically to phosphoryl groups on the peptides. The change in fluorescence is proportional to the extent of phosphorylation of the fluorophore-labeled peptide, because the iron-containing compound quenches the fluorescent emission exclusively on the phosphorylated form of the fluorophore-labeled peptide.

- Robust results—Z« of 0.6 for 10% conversion of substrate in a kinase reaction and Z« of 0.7 for 10% conversion of substrate in a phosphatase reaction
- Addition of IQ reagents stops the enzyme reaction, so plates may be read immediately or up to two days later
