Tiamulin fumarate is a pleuromutilin antibiotic targeting gram-positive bacteria and several Mycoplasma species

Pleuromutilin antibiotics target the 50s ribosomal subunit, inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, by binding peptidyl transferase. This blocks formation of peptide bonds.
