The Grainger tire coupling is a flexible coupling that connects shafts and absorbs shock, vibration, and misalignment. It consists of two metal hubs connected by a rubber tire. The rubber tire allows for flexibility and dampening. The coupling transmits torque through friction between the hubs and tire. It is available in various sizes with bores ranging from 5/8 in to 2-15/16 in. Maximum speeds range from 1,750 to 3,600 RPM. Temperature range is -30 to 180°F. Features include no lubrication required and easy installation. Well-suited for applications with misalignment or end float.
