It is excellent for use with unhindered steriods.Reacts with a Wide Range of Compounds
Alcohols, phenols, some enols, and other hydroxyl/polyhydroxyl compounds to form trimethylsilyl ethers
Organic acids to form trimethylsilyl esters
Aromatic amides to form N-trimethylsilyl derivatives
Amines to form N-trimethylsilyl derivatives
Not recommended for use with carbohydrates.
