Thermo Scientific Chemicals Trypsin Inhibitor, chicken egg whites
Description
Soybean trypsin inhibior (STI) is a protein which reduces trypsin (a proteolytic enzyme) as well as plasma kallikrein, factor Xa and plasmin activity. Soybean trypsin inhibitor has demonstrated inhibition of human neutrophil elastase at an IC50=0.3 nM. At this concentration soybean trypsin inhibitor showed neither cytotoxic nor haemolytic effects on populations of human blood cells. In fibrin matrix, and without toxic effects, STI had a strong inhibitory effect on human umbilical vein endothelial cells migration and tubulogenesis.
