Description
- Made from Tyvek™ material, which is a patented flashspun high-density polyethylene, these boot covers provide an inherent barrier to particles, microorganisms, and non-hazardous liquid splashes.
- The fabric is specially processed to be exceptionally low-linting and to minimize particle shedding, which is a critical feature for maintaining the integrity of ISO Class 5-8 cleanrooms.
- Tyvek™ is known for its durability. The material has a high abrasion resistance and is strong enough to withstand rigorous use without wearing away, ensuring reliable protection.
- The boot covers are available in both clean-processed and sterile options.
- The sterile versions are gamma-irradiated to a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10-6, making them suitable for GMP Class A/B (ISO Class 5) environments.
- They are designed with features like tunnelled elastication at the shin and ankle, along with ankle ties, to provide a secure fit over footwear and prevent the boot cover from slipping or riding up.
- The boot covers are often folded to facilitate aseptic donning, minimizing the risk of contamination during the gowning process.
