U 18666A is a small molecule inhibitor of cholesterol transport from endosomes/lysosomes to the endoplasmic reticulum in a variety of cell types, including macrophages and sympathetic neurons. Also weakly inhibits hedgehog signaling. Implicated in multiple diseases including Neimann-Pick disease type C (NPC), Alzheimer's, cataracts, and atherosclerosis. Provided as 5 mg of dry powder. These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter,  PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
