Description
In-line filter capsules are particularly suitable for sterile venting of fermenters or reaction vessels to prevent airborne particles from entering or exiting the vessel. They are also well suited for tissue culture, in-line filtration, and prefiltration for suction or to serve gas in-line filters.
The Whatman™ HEPA-CAP Vent Filter glass fiber filter media is strengthened by dual lamination with a tough polyester monofilament. The filters are pleated to maximize surface area for high particle retention and high flow rate. The filters are available in a range of different sizes, formats and end fittings.
- High particle retention for high efficiency air and gas filtration
- Used across scientific, research, and industrial environments
- For a variety of air and gas filtration applications that require high particle retention and the ability to capture dirt and debris at high flow rates
- Typical retention efficiency: 99.97% of all particles ≥0.3 μm in air
- Depth filter design: allows for high loading capacity and bidirectional flow
- Repeatedly autoclavable at 121°C for 20 minutes (132°C max)
