WU E-4 [1506 A1.4] is a mouse hybridoma cell line that produces a monoclonal IgG1 antibody specific for human apolipoprotein E (ApoE). Derived by fusion of mouse spleen B cells with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells, the antibody recognizes an epitope within amino acids 126-191 of ApoE and can block ApoE-mediated binding of lipoproteins to the LDL receptor. For research use only.

• Produces monoclonal IgG1 antibody specific for human apolipoprotein E (ApoE).
• Derived from fusion of mouse spleen B cells with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells.
• Complete medium: DMEM (4.5 g/L glucose, 0.1 mM non-essential amino acids, 1 mM sodium pyruvate) supplemented with 10% horse serum and 5% fetal bovine serum.
• Culture conditions: 37°C, 95% air, 5% CO2.
• Storage: vapor phase of liquid nitrogen; cryopreserve in complete medium with 5% (v/v) DMSO.
• Mycoplasma: not detected.
• Tumorigenic: forms ascites in pristane-primed BALB/c mice.
