α/β-hydrolase domain 6 (ABHD6) inhibitor; antiepileptic

WWL 123 is an α/β-hydrolase domain 6 (ABHD6) inhibitor (IC50 = 0.43 μM). Blocks PTZ -induced seizures in healthy mice and spontaneous seizures in R6/2 mice. Antiepileptic activity is independent of CB1 and CB2 receptors, but is GABAA receptor dependent. Brain penetrant.
