Alkali Scientific Bacillus cereus MYP Agar, 5 Kilograms
Bacillus cereus MYP Agar is a selective medium used for isolating Bacillus cereus, a bacterium known for its role in foodborne illnesses. The medium contains selective agents that inhibit non-Bacillus species while promoting the growth of Bacillus cereus. It also includes mannitol, which can be fermented by Bacillus cereus, turning the agar from yellow to pink.
