Trans-Cinnamic acid is a natural antimicrobial, effective against various fish pathogens such as *A. sobria*, *A. sobria* SY-AS3, *S. baltica*, *F. spartansii* SY-FS1, *A. salmonicida* ATCC 33658, *Listonella anguillarum*, *V. crassostreae* SY-VC10, and *Y. ruckeri* E42.
