Guaiazulene (Standard) is an analytical standard intended for research and analytical applications. It is a bicyclic sesquiterpene that can cross the blood-brain barrier and exhibits various biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, hepatoprotective, antibacterial, and anti-tumor properties. It is also used as a colorant in cosmetics. At high concentrations, Guaiazulene shows in vitro cytotoxicity to rat neuronal cells and N2a neuroblastoma cells.
