10/18 Joint Size, 1/8" Thermometer Size, #006 Upper O-Ring. PTFE adapter for use with either 1/8¿ or 1/4¿ thermocouples. Adapter has an outer Perfluoro o-ring to form a grease-free, airtight seal between the adapter and the listed size of outer joint. The compression nut works in conjunction with the upper Perfluoro o-ring to provide a airtight seal between the adapter and thermocouple. Adapter design permits use with CG-145 Keck clips.

The detachable thermocouples are for direct insertion in the reactors using a CG-1048-A or CG-1042-E thermocouple adapter, while the 4¿ long Hastelloy C-276 style is for use with the CG-1971 baffles and adapters. Detachable type thermocouples have a standard male plug (OST) and require a coiled extension cord for connection to the CG-3498 temperature monitor. Connection, Complete, GL 25. Connector allows for easy connection of a thermocouple gauge tube to glass vacuum system without the use of a glass to metal graded seal or Cajon fitting. Gauge connection consists of a GL 25 thread, a stainless steel bushing and an open top GL 25 screw cap. The thermocouple gauge tube is threaded into the #303 stainless steel bushing and inserted into the glass GL 25 thread.

When precise temperature measurements are required, WPI can provide you with a very accurate monitor and thermocouple microprobes. WPI monitors have both resolution and accuracy of 0.1°C in the 0-50°C range and are traceable to NIST standards, whereas, other competitive electronic thermometers have an accuracy that is usually to 0.5°C or worse. Furthermore, all our type T clinical probes are guaranteed accurate to 0.1°C, due to our stringent wire standards. These are five times more accurate than competitive probes made with regular “Special Limits” wire.
