Diagnostic Biosystems CYTOKERATIN 7 Cytokeratin 7 (LP1K)
Cytokeratins comprise a diverse group of intermediate filament proteins (IFPs) that are expressed as pairs in both keratinized and non-keratinized epithelial tissue, where they constitute up to 85% of mature keratinocytes in the vertebrate epidermis. Cytokeratin 7 is expressed in epithelial cells of ovary, lung and breast. It is often used in conjunction with cytokeratin 20 and CDX-2 in distinguishing pulmonary, ovarian and breast carcinomas (CK7+) from most colon carcinomas (CK7-).

Diagnostic Biosystems LAMININ Laminin
Laminins are a family of heterotrimeric extracellular glycoproteins consisting of alpha, beta, and gamma chains. Laminins mediate the attachment, migration and organization of cells into tissues during embryonic development by interacting with other extracellular matrix components. Laminin is expressed in heart, lung, kidney, muscle, pancreas, retina, and placenta. Very little or no expression is observed in brain and liver.

Diagnostic Biosystems DP3 DP3 for One-Step Deparaffinization/20 Runs
DP3 is a blend of aqueous buffers and a paraffin solvent (orange oil). Because of these properties it can act as both a deparaffinzing agent and a reydration agent thus eliminating the requirement for transferring the paraffin tissues through a series of graded xylenes and alcohol. Deparaffinization occurs rapidly at temperatures in excess of 50 C. (Range 50 - 80 C). In contrast to other aqueous deparaffinization reagents, the paraffin is completely removed from both around and beneath the tissues.\n\nDP3 deparaffinization is compatible with Immunohistochemistry.

Diagnostic Biosystems FIBRINOGEN-FITC Fibrinogen-FITC
This antibody reacts with native fibrinogen and with fibrinogen fragments D, E, X, and Y. Traces of contaminating antibodies have been removed by solid phase absorption with human plasma proteins. This antibody is well suited for tissue section staining but may also be used for other applications.

Diagnostic Biosystems MART-1/MELAN A MART-1/Melan-A, Melanoma Marker
This antibody is specific to a protein of 20 kDa known as MART-1 (melanoma antigen recognized by T cells-1) or Melan-A. This antibody does not crossreact with MAGE-1or tyrosinase. MART-1 is a newly identified melanocyte differentiation antigen recognized by autologous cytotoxic T lymphocytes. This antibody stains melanomas and other tumors showing melanocytic differentiation.

Diagnostic Biosystems ALK PHOS ENHANCER Alkaline Phosphatase Enhancer
This product is used as a signal enhancer in conjunction with alkaline phosphatase based immunostaining systems.\n\nAlkaline Phosphatase, an enzyme derived from bovine intestinal mucosa, is often used as a label for in situ hybridization, immunohistochemistry, Southern and Northern hybridization and DNA sequencing. Detection of this enzyme requires the generation of an insoluble colored reaction end product. Stronger the signal, better the staining. DBS introduces a new stable solution to increase the signal generated by alkaline phosphatase several fold. A single treatment of tissue sections with enhancer before the treatment with substrate/chromogen enables the visualization of difficult to localize antigens. This enhancer works well with Fast Red but can be used with BCIP/NBT and BCIP/INT also. Specimens stained with the above substrates/chromogens can not be dehydrated in ethanol and hence should be mounted in aqueous based mounting medium like C/C Mount (DBS catalog # K002).

Diagnostic Biosystems MONO AEC/PLUS Mono AEC/Plus
Mono AEC/Plus is a single, highly stable, working AEC chromogen/substrate liquid solution. When used in conjunction with immunoperoxidase staining, AEC produces a red colored end product at the positive sites, yielding strong contrast when combined with a blue hematoxylin counter stain. AEC has been well accepted amongst pathologists because of its relatively less toxic nature as compared to DAB. Specimens stained using Mono AEC/Plus cannot be dehydrated in ethanol and hence need to be mounted in an aqueous-based mounting medium such as CC Mount (DBS catalog # K002).

Diagnostic Biosystems BCL6 Bcl-6 (PG-B6)
The BCL6 gene encodes a 706 amino acid nuclear protein of the Kruppel-type zinc finger protein. It is rearranged in about 30% of diffuse large B-cell lymphomas, and is expressed predominantly in normal germinal centre B cells and related lymphomas. The antibody is a useful aid for classification of follicular lymphomas, diffuse large B-cell lymphomas, Burkitt's lymphomas, and nodular, lymphocyte-predominance Hodgkin's lymphoma. The BCL6 antibody, together with BCL2 antibody, is also a useful aid in classification of mantle cell lymphomas, and nodular, lymphocyte-predominance Hodgkin's lymphoma. BCL6 protein is not expressed in B-CLL, hairy cell leukemia, mantle cell and marginal-zone derived lymphomas

Diagnostic Biosystems 10X ANTIGEN RETRIEVAL 10X Antigen Retrieval Buffer High pH 10.0
10X Antigen Retrieval Buffer High pH 10.0 is designed for use during the heat induced epitope retrieval (HIER) step prior to immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections. The use of this buffer in combination with heat (often by microwave, water bath, or pressure cooker) has been shown to restore the antigenicity of proteins modified during the formalin fixation of tissue. This buffer is supplied as a 10X stock solution.
