Kalrez 4079 perfluroelastomer combines the elastomeric properties of Viton with the chemical resistance of PTFE. Kalrez 4079 should be considered for service in high temperature, corrosive environments such as: Polar Solvents such as Ketones, Esters and Ethers Strong Organic Solvents such as Tetrahydrofuran, Bensene, Dimethylformamide and Perchloroethylene Acids such as Hydrochloric, Nitric and Sulfuric Strong Oxidizing Agents such as Dinitrogen Tetroxide and Fuming Nitric Acid Metal Halogen Compounds such as Titanium Tetrachloride and Diethylaluminum Chloride Hot Mercury and Caustic Soda Chlorine-Wet and Dry Inorganic Salt Solutions Fuels such as JP-5, Aviation gas and KeroseneKalrez 4079 is serviceable at long-term temperatures to 316C and intermittent temperatures to 343C. Kalrez 4079 is not recommended for use in sealing applications below -5C.

O-Ring, Perfluoro, #006. One of the most thermally stable elastomeric materials available, Perfluoro is a family of perfluoroelastomer compounds designed to provide superior chemical resistance, and they offer a cost savings over similar o-rings such as Kalrez 4079 and Chemraz. Perfluoro o-rings are stocked in WHITE 75 durometer (unless otherwise noted). The effective service temperature is -7 to 230 C. Recommended for use with acids, inorganic bases, alcohols/ethers, aromatic hydro-carbons, esters, aldehydes/ ketones, aliphatic hydrocarbons, amines and chlorocarbon solvents.
