Cuvette, PMMA, Macro. These cuvettes are an excellent choice for most spectrophotometry applications in the visible range. Manufactured from polystyrene (PS) or polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA or ‘Acrylic’), they provide accurate, reliable results, even at wavelengths as low as 300nm and are grouped by manufacturing mold cavity number to ensure the lowest variation in extinction coefficient. These disposable cuvettes are available in macro and semi-micro sizes to accommodate most sample volumes. Semi-micro cuvettes require only 1.5mL of sample volume. Cuvettes include an arrow mark to indicate direction of transmission and reduce variation. Compatible with most spectrophotometers and photometers.

UV-Cuvette, Semi-Micro. UV-Transparent Cuvettes are a disposable alternative to quartz cuvettes in DNA, RNA and protein analysis as well as many other applications between 220nm and 900nm. Use the semi-micro size UV-Cuvettes for sample volumes between 1.5 and 3.0mL and the macro UV-Cuvettes for samples larger than 2.5 up to 4.5mL.UV-Cuvettes eliminate the tedious & time-wasting cuvette washing & the risk of sample carry-over associated with reusable quartz cuvettes. Process QC applications avoid the need for qualified SOP’s for cuvette cleaning.The proprietary plastic material offers chemical compatibility superior to that of conventional plastic cuvettes of acrylic or polystyrene, and may be used with most polar organic solvents.Cuvettes have recessed windows to help protect against scratching and fit most commercial spectrophotometers and photometers. They are grouped by mold cavity number to maximize consistency between cuvettes and reduce variation in extinction coefficient.
