Plastic Tubing
Plastic tubing of various lengths and bores constructed of materials suitable for general laboratory, biopharmaceutical, food and beverage, medical, vacuum, low-pressure, high-pressure, cleanroom or environmental applications. Products may be chemical- or corrosion-resistant. Formulated for resistance to flex fatigue and abrasion, plastic tubing is more flexible and less permeable than rubber tubing.
How Is Plastic Tubing Used?
Flexible plastic tubing may be used as transfer lines for contamination fluid control, hydraulics, protective jacketing, vacuum pump and diaphragm pump feeds and discharges, refrigeration, water and fluid lines, food and beverage, instrumentation, research laboratories, agriculture, material handling, air and gas lines, chemical lines and pharmaceuticals.
Types of Plastic Tubing:
• PVC: lightweight and flexible, will retain its bore on bending and can be sterilized up to 121°C
• Silicone: ideal where a hard-wearing material is needed, including transfer of liquids or higher temperature environments
• LDPE: good for general low pressure and temperature, instrumentation, corrosive atmosphere, and food processing
• PTFE: has excellent chemical-resistant and temperature-resistant properties
• PE: flexible, lightweight, durable, and corrosion resistant, used for a wide range of liquid, gas, and fluid transfer applications
• FEP: clear, small-diameter tubing, the economical choice for chemical resistance and broad temperature exposure
• PEEK: high-performance polymer with mechanical and chemical resistance, and highly resistant to thermal degradation

Applications: Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and ultra-pure fluid processing. Pharma tubing is hydrophobic, and remains flexible and resilient for long service life. Dow Corning maintains complete traceability from silicone to silicone tubing. Durometer, shore A rating of 75. Certification: Elastomer exceeds test guidelines for USP Class VI Plastics; tubing itself is FDA compliant, and meets 3A Sanitary Standards and European Pharmacopoeia (EP) Requirements. Grainger Hose Fitting Sleeve 1/2 In
The Aeroquip Compression Sleeve Brass is a brass compression sleeve fitting used for connecting tubing in fluid power systems. It has a 0.25 inch tube size and is made from brass for durability and corrosion resistance. This compression sleeve has a maximum pressure rating of 5000 psi and temperature range of -65 to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. The fitting accepts 0.25 inch OD tubing and uses a ferrule and nut to form a secure, leak-free connection when properly installed. This brass compression sleeve fitting is ideal for use in hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, fuel and oil applications.
