Sep-Pak Alumina B Vac cartridges contain a highly active grade of alumina with a basic surface chemistry. The aluminum oxide surface provides an extremely polar surface for analyte retention and has properties of a Lewis acid. This normal phase sorbent is similar in use to silica; however, it is slightly more stable than unfunctionalized silica under high pH conditions. This basic alumina is also low-capacity ion exchanger in aqueous media. Sep-Pak Alumina B Vac cartridges can be used to extract phospholipids, steroids, and catecholamines. Since Sep-Pak Alumina B is unaffected by high-energy radioactivity, these cartridges can be used for radioactive compound isolation. These syringe-barrel-type cartridges are designed for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE instruments.

The aluminum oxide surface provides an extremely polar surface for analyte retention and has properties of a Lewis acid. This normal phase sorbent is similar in use to silica; however, it is slightly more stable than unfunctionalized silica under high pH conditions. This neutral alumina is suitable for applications such as synthetic crude oil fractionation. These syringe-barrel-type cartridges are designed for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE instruments.

The 6 cc Oasis HLB cartridges contain the Oasis HLB sorbent, which is a universal polymeric reversed-phase sorbent that was developed for the extraction of a wide range of acidic, basic, and neutral compounds from various matrices using a simple, generic protocol. Since the Oasis HLB sorbent is water wettable, it maintains its capability for higher retention and excellent recoveries even if the sorbent runs dry, which means there is no need to take extraordinary steps to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps prior to sample loading. The 60 µm particle size is recommended when working with viscous samples. These syringe-barrel-type cartridges are designed for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE instruments.
