The Nanomat 4 Is A Device For Contact Transfer Application Using Capillaries. The Actual Sample Dosage Is Performed With A Disposable Capillary Pipette, Which Is Precisely Guided, Thus Ensuring That The Chromatogram Can Be Documented And Evaluated Automatically According To A Programmed Pattern. The Nanomat 4 Is Suitable For Any Plate Format Up To 20 X 20 Cm. The Capillary Pipettes Are Loaded Into The Dispenser In Magazines. Capillaries Of 0.5, 1, 2, And 5 Ul Volume Are Available. Each Capillary Size Requires An Appropriate Dispenser Magazine. Alumina Neutral (pH 6-8) with UV254, preparative, glass backed TLC plates. The coating thickness is 1000um and dimensions are 20x20cm. There are 15 plates per pack. Applications include: terpenes, alkaloids, steroids, aliphatic and aromatic compounds. To ensure sufficient adherence an inert organic binder is added to the aqueous suspension for coating. The aluminum oxide layer has a specific surface of about 200 m2/g (BET) and a pore size of about 60A. To activate the aluminum oxide layer, we recommend heating the TLC plates for 10 minutes at 120C.

"Silica XG" is a standard grade Silica 60 with a surface area of 500 m2/g, mean pore size of 60A, specific pore volume of 0.75 ml/g, and particle size of 5-17um. The TLC plates contain UV254 fluorescent indicator. This analytical soft layer is bound to an aluminum support. It has a thickness of 200um and dimensions of 5x10cm. There are 50 plates per pack. The Silica XG TLC Plate has outstanding wettability for precise colorization results, even with 100% aqueous detection reagents, and excellent separation efficiency and reproducibility from lot to lot. Cutting the plates is easy and reliable due to an optimized binder system. There is no flaking of silica gel layer. Binder: highly polymeric product, which is stable in almost all organic solvents and resistant towards aggressive visualization reagents; also completely stable in purely aqueous eluents.

No organic substances are added to these products, thus making them compatible with sulfuric acid charring visualization. These plates are commonly scraped from the glass backing to isolate separated components for other analytical procedures. They are compatible with all organic solvents however, they are not recommended for use in systems containing greater than 20% water because of the solubility of the gypsum binder in aqueous solutions. The "G" stands for Gypsum and indicates that calcium sulfate hemihydrate (CaSO4·1/2H2O), a refined form of gypsum, has been included in the adsorption formulation. Gypsum functions as a binder, improving the cohesion of the adsorbent particles and increasing the adhesion of the layer to the glass substrate.
