This high performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC) plate comprises a C18 Silica layer. The Nano-Silica 60 has a surface area of 500 m2/g, mean pore size of 60A, specific pore volume of 0.75 ml/g, particle size of 2-10um, and pH stability of 2-10. The surface has been 50% treated with an octadecyl silane so that it is a reversed phase material. This analytical hard layer is bound to a glass support. It has a thickness of 200um and dimensions of 10x10cm. There are 25 plates per pack. Applications include: Alkaloids, amino acids, preservatives, optical brighteners, barbiturates, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), drugs, peptides, flavonoids, phenols, indole derivatives, steroids

Purity™ Flash Cartridges are superior because they are packed with Premium Rf™ Silica Gel. The porosity is 60A, particle distribution is 40-75um, bed mass is 4g, and quantity is 20/pk. Sorbtech's packing technique & Premium Rf's narrow particle distribution results in a uniform packed bed. The benefits are no channeling, higher resolution, decrease in backpressure, faster flow, and faster run time. Additionally, the small pore volume allows for more silica gel per column volume leading to greater loadability and less solvent use. Finally, the high purity silica gel (minimal surface metals) reduces mixed-mode interactions (no peak tailing or resolution loss). The polypropylene cartridge has standard luer-lock end fittings and is spin-welded (leak-free) allowing higher pressures up to 400 psi. The cartridges are compatible with all flash chromatography systems.
