Microtubes
Single-use containers designed to hold microliter to milliliter quantities of liquid. Products may be sterile/non-sterile, come with or without a variety of caps (screw, tether, snap), and may be suitable for use in microcentrifuges.
High quality standard snap cap microtubes, or microcentrifuge tubes, are essential for the safe processing of low to medium sized sample volume applications in clinical chemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology. Ideal for protein research, mass spectrometry, protein array, sample preparation, microcentrifugation and sample storage, they are available in a variety of colours, including amber and black for light sensitive samples.
The snap cap provides a safe, liquid-tight seal and some flat top caps include a needle insertion spot. Some microtubes are also available with additional safety lock snap caps to minimise sample loss during the centrifugation process and to provide added security when working with samples that are radioactive or which pose a biohazard.
Snap Cap Microtube properties
Available as sterile or non-sterile, polypropylene microtubes can also feature low binding properties to reduce protein and nucleic acid loss and hence better sample recovery.

The 0.5 mL self-standing screw cap tube is an ideal laboratory apparatus for centrifugation up to 20000 x g, vapor-phase liquid nitrogen storage, -80C freezers, boiling, and autoclaving. The tube's external threads prevent sample loss and seal failure. This product is autoclavable and free of RNase, DNase, DNA, and pyrogen. It comes in a pack of 500 tubes with natural-colored caps.

Micrewtube Tubes feature an O-ring seal screw cap and attachment loop. Loops remain attached to the tubes and prevent cross contamination. Tubes will withstand high speed centrifuging, autoclaving, boiling and freezer storage. Screw cap with O-ring seal provides superior sealing during sample processing. Uniform well thickness withstands 17,000xg forces. Graduated tubes have a printed marking area. Polypropylene tubes are available with screwed-on cap, pre-attached loop, natural color, and are sterile.

Polypropylene micro-tubes supplied with unique GripSeal caps feature bright contrasting color stripes on a white cap. The color stripes provide a quick and easy method for coding samples. Integral TPE (thermal plastic elastomer) cap seals provide a leak proof fit and eliminate a separate O-ring. Both the tube and cap are DNase and RNase free, and can be autoclaved. Micro-tubes are natural color with graduations. Color striped caps are packaged in the following assortment of colors: green, orange, red, violet, yellow and blue.
