Microscope Accessories and Replacement Parts
General accessories and parts for use with microscopes. Products include lens oil, lens cleaner, slide dispensers, microscope covers, vessel holders, light cubes, and flow cells.
Many parts of your microscope can be updated or replaced including microscope lamps, lenses, and eyepieces. Replacement lamps, light sources, and power cords can extend the working lives of your microscopy equipment. New or replacement objectives and lenses can help increase the total magnification available with your microscope.
Add greater magnification or exchange your eyepiece for one with a reticule to more easily estimate the sizes of the items being viewed.
Replace or update your mechanical stage or clamps or add cell culture vessel adapters to facilitate specimen positioning.
Condensers can also be replaced, and conversion kits are available to add phase contrast, polarization, fluorescence, or other capabilities to your current system.
Some microscopes can be adapted for use with still or video cameras. Look for cameras and adapters designed for your specific microscope brand. Film and documentation-related products may also be available to support your record-keeping.
Temporary, semi-permanent, and more long-term slide storage options include:
- Slide racks that securely hold slides during staining procedures
- Folding fiberboard or plastic slide holders with horizontal indentations that keep microscope slides in place
- Slide storage boxes with vertical dividers; made from fiberboard, plastic, and wood and available in multiple sizes
- Slide holders and mailers for transporting slides safely
- Slide storage systems and cabinets for large quantities of slides or archival storage
Electron Microscopy Sciences SEM Large Single Pin Mount Storage Tube
A plastic tube and plug ideal for storage or mailing of SEM mounts. The pin, 1/8" (3.1mm) in diameter, is inserted securely to the plug and protected by the tube. Mounts can be up to 38mm diameter. Ideal for storage or mailing. The outer measurements of the tube are 1.57" (40mm) x 2.95" (75mm). Max height of sample on stub is 1.18" (30mm).

Electron Microscopy Sciences Ilford 2000rt Machine Fixer 5 LT
2000RT is a non-hardening, liquid fixer concentrate specially designed for the rapid fixing of resin coated paper in processing machines complementing the 2000RT developer. It can be used at a wide range of fixer temperatures, 20 – 40 degree C (68 – 104 degree F). 2000RT Fixer must not be used with fix hardeners.
Ted Pella Inc PELCO Conductive Gold Paste, 2g
Gold paste is fast drying and useful for analytical analysis over time where a high signal is desired. The gold is in microfine form and contains organic binders and a solvent. Dries at room temperature. Not intended for permanent use, but for testing and temporary work.
Electron Microscopy Sciences Gold Coated Specimen Discs for AFM, 12 mm
Magnetic stainless steel gold coated specimen discs have smooth edges and consistently flat surfaces to ensure secure holding. Specimens can be mounted directly on the metal discs with double sided tape, epoxy or conductive paste. If a mica specimen support is needed, the mica discs can be easily mounted on the metal support discs.
These discs offer excellent resistance to electromigration, high electrical and thermal conductivity, and high temperatures making them excellent substrates for mounting specimens. Packaged in a polystyrene disc storage box.

Evaporated Pt/Ir on Holey carbon film. Holey carbon film support provides holes for ease of focus and astigmatism correction. The dots of evaporated Pt/Ir provide dense particles for resolution checks through the particle seperation test.
Electron Microscopy Sciences TEM Screen Recoating Phillips Small Focusing
For optimum viewing, fluorescent screens should be recoated regularly. Viewing screens are easily damaged by the electron beam, especially at high accelerating voltages where knock-on damage can be severe. A proprietary process where 1 to 2 micron particles of phosphor are deposited on the screen and produce the highest possible resolution.

Standard 3.05 mm diameter grids which have one straight and one round cut out from the rim which assists in the orientation of the grid.

Electron Microscopy Sciences Formvar/Carbon Film 10 nm/1 nm thick on Square 150 mesh Gold Grid
A formvar coated grid, stabilized with evaporated carbon film. This type of coating is excellent for specimen support, especially for ultra thin sections. All of our coated grids are optically checked followed by batch testing in the EM. Packed in grid storage box. NOTE: All of our film is laid on the shiny side of the grid. Formvar is approximately 10 nm thick with 1 nm of carbon.

Electron Microscopy Sciences Gilder Finder Grid F2, 200 mesh Nickel Grid
Used to identify specific areas of mesh by an alphabetical or numerical code built into the mesh. 3.05 mm diameter, 0.7 mil (18 um) thickness. G200F2 series has thick bars dividing regions into 9 thin bar areas identified by alphabetical letters located in the center of the grid.
