When used with SpiralPestle Grinder - beads allow optimum cell lysis of culture cells, small tissue samples, and other soft solids. Adding up to 0.1 ml Grinding Beads to a sample and using the SpiralPestle Grinder enhances disruption results in a 1.5 ml micro-tube.
Optional BioVortexer facilitates faster results and efficiency. Combining SpiralPestle Grinder, Beads and BioVortexer greatly increases rotational speed and mechanical dispersement of samples.

This rotor for PULVERISETTE 25 with V-cutting edges made of tool steel grinds the sample through a gentle cutting action.
Alternatively, a rotor with V-cutting edges and fixed knives made of hardmetal tungsten carbide is available which additionally grinds the sample with impact/shearing action. As an extension to this, the side mill rotor with indexable insert and fixed knives made of hardmetal tungsten carbide withstands highest demands and offers the greatest stability of the knives.
