An engineered double-strand specific DNA endonuclease, dsDNase preferentially degrades double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) over single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) or RNA. This specificity toward dsDNA allows the enzyme to degrade contaminating dsDNA while maintaining the integrity of single stranded DNA molecules such as primers and probes within PCR mixes, allowing for efficient decontamination of PCR master mixes. Moreover, dsDNase displays the unique property of cleaving the DNA strand of a DNA:RNA hybrid duplex.

The NEBNext Enzymatic 5hmC-seq Kit specifically detects 5hmC sites. The kit includes NEBNext Ultra II library prep reagents, and 5hmC is detected using a two-step enzymatic conversion workflow that minimizes damage to DNA and allows discrimination of 5hmC from both cytosine and 5mC after Illumina sequencing. E5hmC-seq data can also be subtracted from EM-seq data, allowing determination of the precise location of individual 5mC and 5hmC sites. The kit includes the E5hmC-seq adaptor and index primers are supplied separately.

This kit is a nucleic acid extraction kit based on magnetic beads. The main principle involves using functional groups on the surface of the magnetic beads to enrich nucleic acids from the sample lysate onto the surface of the beads. The beads are then washed to remove proteins and other impurities. Then, a magnetic separation device is used to isolate the beads, allowing for rapid separation and purification of nucleic acids. The entire process does not require the use of organic reagents such as phenol, chloroform, or β-mercaptoethanol, making it safe and non-toxic. The use of paramagnetic magnetic beads is suitable for high-throughput automated extraction.
