ATCC Pseudomonas aeruginosa; Strain PGO2354
Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain PGO2354 was collected from a sputum sample of a cystic fibrosis patient during a Phase III clinical trial that tested the effectiveness of aerosolized Tobi (Tobramycin). This whole-genome sequenced strain is propagated aerobically in trypticase soy medium and is used for drug development research.

This whole-genome sequenced bacterial strain is resistant to gentamicin and vancomycin and the presence of the vanB gene was confirmed by PCR. The culture can be used in antimicrobial resistance research.

4T1.2 is a cell line with epithelial-like morphology that was isolated in 1998 from the breast of a Balb/cfC3H mouse, mimicking Stage IV breast cancer in patients. Identified as a single cell clone of 4T1 (ATCC CRL-2539) with high propensity to metastasize spontaneously to bone, causing fractures and/or hind limb paralysis. Primary tumor growth properties similar to those of 4T1. It has applications for cancer research and is used for analysis of genes that regulate metastasis of breast cancer and/or drugs that might reduce spontaneous metastasis in immune competent Balb/c mice.
