This entry represents CC chemokine receptor 8 (CCR8) which it is expressed predominantly in lymphoid tissues and has also been found in glomerular podocytes and human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). CCR8 is associated with Th2 lymphocytes which are critical for allergy and has a role in lymphocyte activation migration proliferation and differentiation and in allergic diseases. CCR8 binds to CCL1 (also known as I-309) and to CCL16 (also known as liver expressed chemokine). It also exhibits a high affinity for three chemokines of viral origin: vMIP-I vMIP-II and vMCC-I.

Leukapheresis is performed using the Spectra Optia Apheresis System. Mononuclear cell-rich blood is continuously collected using ACD-A as an anti-coagulant. During collection, autologous plasma is combined with apheresed cells at a 4:6 ratio. Leukopak collections result in large yields of single-donor mononuclear cells (MNCs).
This product is filled to deliver no less than 135mL and is shipped in a 150mL transfer bag. TNC in our leukapheresis products are composed of, on average, 50% T cells, 20% monocytes, 10% B cells, 7% NK cells, and 3% granulocytes. Actual TNC concentration and cell type percentages vary from collection to collection.
HLA and CMV status are available upon request. All donors undergo an in-person screening including bloodborne pathogens testing, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV 1 and 2.
