N-acylhomoserine lactones AHL are involved in quorum sensing, controlling gene expression, and cellular metabolism. The diverse applications of this kind of molecule include regulation of virulence in general, infection prevention, and formation of biofilms. It was used as an autoinducer of quorum signaling by Pseudomonas putida, Yersinia enterocolitica and other Gram-negative bacteria.

Inhibits viral DNA replication and late viral protein synthesis of African Swine fever virus. Has depigmenting effects by effectively inhibiting tyrosinase activity, which catalyzes the rate-limiting step in synthesizing melanin pigments. Has anti-inflammatory properties based on inhibition of iNOS expression through down-regulation of NF-kB binding activity and significant inhibition of COX-2 activity. Antihyperlipidemic agent.

It appears later than shorter acyl chain AHLs in developing biofilms and like other long chain 3-oxo-AHLs, stimulates the production of putisolvin, which in turn inhibits biofilm formation.

At increased populations of bacteria, localized higher concentrations of 3OC6-HSL, an endogenous ligand to transcriptional factor LuxR, leads to increased production of both the AHL synthase and proteins responsible for bioluminescence. Numerous other species of bacteria also employ 3OC6-HSL in cell-to-cell communication. An autoinducer of P. fischeri luciferase and a specfic genetic regulator that is unrelated to at least one of the enzyme systems that it induces.
AdipoGen Opipramol

Acts as a high affinity sigma receptor agonist, primarily at the sigma1 subtype, but also at the sigma2 subtype with somewhat lower affinity. Shows a low to moderate antagonistic affinity for the D2, 5-HT2, H1, H2, and muscarinic acetylcholine receptors. H1 and H2 receptor antagonism account for its antihistamine effects, and muscarinic acetylcholine receptor antagonism is responsible for its anticholinergic properties.

AdipoGen S Naproxene
Chemical. CAS 22204-53-1. Formula C14H14O3. MW 230.26. Synthetic Non-selective COX inhibitor. The IC50 values for human recombinant COX-1 and -2 are 0.6-4.8 µM and 2.0-28.4 µM, respectively. Naproxen is a potent, non-steroidal, non-selective anti-inflammatory compound that acts as a Cox cyclooxygenase inhibitor, and inhibits both Cox-1 and Cox-2. Research indicates that the S-naproxen is a more active form than the R-naproxen. The S-naproxen enantiomer was observed to inhibit platelet aggregation, and both enantiomers decrease production of thromboxane B2. Naproxen has been demonstrated to block Abeta fibril growth and form a complex with copper II.
