m Endo LES Agar, 20mL Monoplate, 10/Pk is a selective and differential culture medium designed for the detection and enumeration of coliform bacteria, particularly Escherichia coli, in water samples using the membrane filtration method. The formulation contains lactose, sodium lauryl sulfate, and sodium deoxycholate, which inhibit Gram positive organisms while allowing Gram negative coliforms to grow and produce characteristic red colonies with a metallic sheen. Each plate is pre poured with 20mL of sterile medium in a standard 100 x 15mm monoplate format, ensuring even membrane placement and consistent incubation conditions. MacConkey (MAC) Agar with Levofloxacin and Cefotaxime is a selective and differential medium used for the detection and isolation of Gram-negative enteric bacilli. Levofloxacin is an antibiotic used to inhibit the growth of Gram-positive organisms. Ampicillin is a ß-lactam antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell-wall synthesis by inactivating transpeptidases on the inner surface of the bacterial cell membrane.
