Total RNA isolation is performed using proprietary techniques. Contamination by RNase, genomic DNA polysaccharides, and proteoglycans has been effectively eliminated. The integrity of the total RNAs is assured by checking for a ratio of greater than 1:1 between 28s and 18s ribosomal RNA. High efficiency reverse transcription using the Total RNA is demonstrated.

Its non-toxic formulation instantaneously protects and preserves RNA and protein expression patterns in human and animal cell types. This includes cells found in solid tissues, such as tumors, and cultured cell clusters, such as organoids and spheroids. Labs can then analyze the treated cell’s DNA, RNA and proteins days or weeks later with almost no detectable change in levels, patterns or modifications.The rapid fixation of RNA and proteins is very important for expression patterns to remain unchanged. With other techniques, such rapid fixation is often at the expense of other factors such as molecule crosslinking by PFA (paraformaldehyde) or cell lysis by high-salt reagents that stabilize RNA. Not so with CellCover, which instantly fixes and stabilizes cells in their true state — maintaining RNA and protein expression.

Clodrosome is a multilamellar liposome suspension in which clodronate is encapsulated in the aqueous compartments of the liposomes. Encapsome is formulated and prepared identically to Clodrosome except that clodronate is not added to the liposomes. The liposomes are filtered through 2 μm polycarbonate membranes to ensure that the larger particles, which may be toxic to animals, are removed from the suspension. Both are prepared and packaged under sterile conditions. When animals or cells are treated with Clodrosome, phagocytic cells recognize the liposomes as invading foreign particles and proceed to remove the liposomes from the local tissue or serum via phagocytosis. The liposomes then release clodronate into the cytosol, resulting in cell death. Non-encapsulated clodronate cannot cross the cell membrane to initiate cell death.
