The cAMP Hunter GCGR eXpress kit provides an easy-to-use cell based assay to study drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) targeting GPCRs. This kit assesses ligand (e.g. glucagon) based activation of GCGR GPCR activity via detection of increasing levels of intracellular cAMP. This product uses EFC technology. The cells overexpress wild type GCGR, a naturally Gs coupled GPCR. Upon activation of GCGR, the increase in levels of intracellular cAMP leads to an increased signal from EFC when the cAMP detection kit is applied. eXpress kits are a convenient, ready-to-use format which contains all materials needed to run the assay, including single-use vials of cryopreserved cells, cell plating media, detection reagent, and assay plates. This kit assesses ligand (e.g. cholecystokinin) based activation of CCKBR GPCR activity via detection of β-arrestin recruitment. The included cell line overexpresses ProLink-tagged CCKBR and EA-tagged β-Arrestin-2.
