The RosetteSep CTC Enrichment Cocktail Containing Anti-CD56 is designed to enrich circulating epithelial tumor cells from fresh whole blood by negative selection. Unwanted cells are targeted for removal with Tetrameric Antibody Complexes recognizing CD3 CD14 CD16 CD19 CD38 CD45 CD56 CD61 CD66b and glycophorin A on red blood cells (RBCs). When centrifuged over a density gradient medium such as Lymphoprep (Catalog 07801) the unwanted cells pellet along with the RBCs. The purified tumor cells are present as a highly enriched population at the interface between the plasma and the density gradient medium.

Recognizes 183 kDa protein with DNA-binding characteristics, which is identified as a myeloid specific antigen. It reacts with myeloid precursor cells and granulocytes in bone marrow. Its antigen appears to be restricted to M2 and M3 acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) subtypes. Markers of myeloid cells are useful in the identification of different levels of cellular differentiation. This MAb reacts with early precursor and mature forms of human myeloid cells. It is useful in the identification of myelogenous leukemias, distinguishing granulocytic sarcomas from lymphoid malignancies and also in the study of differentiation and transformation of human myeloid cells. Recognizes a protein of 205 kDa-220 kDa, identified as CD45RA (Workshop III). CD45RA is isoforms of the human leukocyte common antigen (CD45). Human CD45 contains three exons which encode peptide segments designated A, B and C, respectively. The differential splicing of the exons generates at least five isoforms, ABC, AB, BC, B and O. This antibody reacts with ABC and BC isoforms. CD45RA is expressed on 40-50% of peripheral CD4 T-cells, 50% of peripheral CD8 T-cells, B-cells, and leukemic B-cell lines. T-cells expressing CD45RA are naive or virgin T-cells. T-cells expressing CD45RO are memory T-cells. CD45RA and CD45RO define complementary, predominantly non-overlapping populations of resting peripheral T-cells. This MAb is useful in study on the subpopulation of CD4 or CD8 T-cells.
