The gold on carbon specimen is for resolution test of SE and BSE imaging and also for chemical mapping in high-resolution systems such as an Auger scanning instrument. Each test specimen has a square grid pattern with large crystals in the center of each square, and very fine crystals at the edges of each grid somedium and high resolution gap tests are performed on the same specimen. The larger crystals facets are used to assess the gray level reproduction at high resolution. Gold particles range from approximately 5nm to 150 nm.

Our scanning electron microscope specimen holders are designed to improve your productivity and allow you to view more than one sample at a time. You will save pump down time, keep your chamber cleaner and get more work done. All mounts are machined from solid aluminum and come with spring clips/or setscrews to hold your specimens securely. All mounts are made to fit onto your stage and are designed to fit through all standard specimen exchange ports, and have a center-threaded port to accept the Adapter Pins.
All adapters have a threaded portion 5 mm in length. For 1/2" dia. (12.5mm) surface, 1/8" dia. (3.1 mm) pins. Accommodates 3. Pin overall measures: 34.5mm long x 16mm diameter

Available in a 100-slide and a 25-slide capacity box with grooved slots to prevent slide to slide contact. The base contains location numbers for convenient inventory, a cork liner in the 100-slide box and a foam liner in the 25-slide box. Lid interior contains a numbered index sheet for cataloging and identification. The deep design of the Tall Slide Box provides safe storage for the taller, non-standard microscope slides.
