Alkali Scientific Burkholderia cepacia Agar 20mL Plate, 10/Pk
Burkholderia cepacia Agar (BCSA) is a highly selective and differential medium formulated for the isolation and detection of the Burkholderia cepacia complex from respiratory samples and pharmaceutical products. Each sterile plate contains 20 mL of nutrient agar supplemented with crystal violet and antimicrobial agents such as polymyxin B and vancomycin or gentamicin. These components inhibit gram positive bacteria and suppress competing organisms, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, while permitting Burkholderia species to grow. The medium is widely used in clinical microbiology laboratories for screening sputum from cystic fibrosis patients where accurate identification of B. cepacia is critical. It is also applied in pharmaceutical microbiology for monitoring contamination in non sterile products, supporting reliable recovery and differentiation of target organisms in complex microbial environments.

PolyB Selective Supplement is a lyophilized antibiotic supplement that adds polymyxin B selectivity to base media for the recovery of target organisms such as Bacillus cereus. Rehydrate with sterile distilled water and add to molten Bacillus Cereus Agar Base or a comparable medium. Store at 2 to 8 C. Packaged as 5 vials.

Advanced Biomatrix HyStem-C Version 2.0 Thiol-Modified Hyaluronan and Gelatin Hydrogel Kit, 12.5 mL
HyStem-C contains thiolated hyaluronic acid & gelatin for easy 3D cell culture. HyStem-C version 2.0 is reconstituted with a buffered 1X PBS. The resulting components will also result in a pH neutral isotonic salt hydrogel. The ending pH, osmo, and rheological properties are the same from Version 1.0 to Version 2.0. HyStem-C hydrogels provide an excellent starting point for optimizing the matrix for cell culture. HyStem-C is fully chemically-defined and based on three biocompatible components: thiol-modified hyaluronan (Glycosil), thiol-reactive crosslinker, PEGDA (Extralink), and thiol-modified denatured collagen (Gelin-S). Gelin-S provides basic cell-attachment sites for a wide variety of primary cells and cell lines and is therefore recommended as an ideal substrate for adherent cell types and for cell culture optimization. In some cases, HyStem-C hydrogels can be further enhanced by the addition of ECM proteins to match native signals.
