About Minority-Owned Businesses
To qualify as a small minority-owned business, at least 51 percent of your business must be owned, controlled, and operated by the minority owner. Per the National Minority Supplier Development Council, a person is considered to be a minority if their ethnicity is at least 25 percent African, Asian Pacific, Asian Subcontinent, Hispanic, Native Alaskan, Native American, or Native Hawaiian.
According to data from the Small Business Administration (SBA) Annual Business Survey, minority employer businesses numbered more than 17 million in 2018.

- Hispanic-owned: 10,630,319
