    Description

    Applications
4 ft.,7-Dihydroxyisoflavone is a phytoestrogen that is suggested to play a role in preventing hormone-induced cancers. It protects against oxidative damage in liver cells induced by 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA). Catalase and superoxide dismutase activity, down-regulated by DMBA, was restored by daidzein.

    Solubility
    Insoluble in water. Soluble in DMSO (25 mg/ml), ethanol (2 mg/ml), DMF (10 mg/ml), and 1:10 DMSO:PBS (pH 7.2) (0.15 mg/ml).

    Notes
Stable under recommended storage conditions. Incompatible with oxidizing agents and heat.
