Invitrogen™ Adropin Polyclonal Antibody
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ PA560031
Description
Immunogen sequence: SADVDSLSES SPNSSPGPCP EKAPPPQKPS HEGSYLLQ Highest antigen sequence identity to the following orthologs: Mouse - 100%, Rat - 100%.
Adropin is involved in the regulation of glucose homestasis and lipid metabolism. It is a secreted protein encoded by the Energy Homeostasis Associated gene (ENHO) found in the brain and liver. In the liver, the protein has been found to increase in response to high-fat foods and decrease after fasting. The protein seems to play a role in controlling the activity of other metabolic genes, specifically those involved in the production of lipids from carbohydrates.
