Invitrogen™ Artemis Polyclonal Antibody
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ PA14241
Description
PA1-4241 detects artemis from human samples. PA1-4241 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. By Western blot this antibody detects a ~66 kDa protein representing artemis in human testis lysate. A weak signal is often seen due to low expression levels. PA1-4241 immunogen is a synthetic peptide to residues G(677) E S I A V K K R K C S L L D T(692) of the human artemis protein. Maintain at 4ºC for 3 months or at -20ºC for longer periods. Stable for 1 year. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for aryl hydrocarbons and a ligand-activated transcription factor. The encoded protein is found in the cytoplasm as part of a multiprotein complex, but upon binding of ligand is transported to the nucleus. This protein can regulate the expression of many xenobiotic metabolizing enzymes. Also, the encoded protein can bind specifically to and inhibit the activity of hepatitis B virus.
