ATR Rabbit anti-Human, Polyclonal, Invitrogen
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA1450
PA1-450 detects ATR (Ataxia Telangiectasia Mutated (ATM) and Rad3-related protein) from human cells. PA1-450 has been successfully used in Western blot immunofluoresence and immunoprecipitation procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects an ~305 kDa protein representing ATR in lysate from UV irradiated K562 cells. PA1-450 antigen is a fusion protein corresponding to amino acid residues 400-460 from human ATR.The protein encoded by this gene is a serine/threonine kinase and DNA damage sensor, activating cell cycle checkpoint signaling upon DNA stress. The encoded protein can phosphorylate and activate several proteins involved in the inhibition of DNA replication and mitosis, and can promote DNA repair, recombination, and apoptosis. This protein is also important for fragile site stability and centrosome duplication. Defects in this gene are a cause of Seckel syndrome 1.
