Description
Reacts with CD1b, a 45 kD membrane glycoprotein expressed in association with β2-microglobulin. CD1b is expressed on cortical thymocytes (moderately), Langerhans cells and interdigitating cells. CD1b has also been reported to react with pyramidal cells in brain. CD1b may participate in a “non-classical” antigen presentation pathway.
